  • July: Curiosities and new acquisitions of interest Many of our “curiosities” featured in our Small Stories program were continued to be on display throughout the month. Visitors heard the stories about our collection of tintypes, a Native American pipe, Civil War artifacts and our collection of curiosities from around the world.
  • August: Candia Cornet Band Instruments Horns, Drums & Cymbals from the Candia Cornet Band were on display throughout the month. If you were lucky, you heard some local citizens practicing on these instruments for our concert during Old Home Day!
  • August 18: Old Home Day: Many guest visited the museum during Old Home Day from 12-4 and saw the old Candia horse-drawn hearse on display. Recently purchased by the Historical Society, this was the first time the public had an opportunity to see this town treasure from the past up close. Adding to the festivities was music performed by local artist playing some of the antique Candia Cornet Bands’ instruments.
